The Beaufort Housing Authority currently provides affordable housing to approximately 750 residents in Beaufort County through the public housing program. There are 295 units of housing located throughout the County.
Most of the properties are located near schools, churches, and shopping facilities. On site management and maintenance are provided in our larger communities.
Rents are based on total family income and are calculated to be 30% of annual monthly income minus deductions for dependants, child care, some medical expenses for elderly and the applicable utility allowance.
